Stamp auctions

Rietdijk organises two auctions a year which are amongst the largest in the Benelux. The spring auction usually takes place in April, the autumn one in November. In between, our assessors collect material for the next auction and our specialists get it ready for sale.

Large and small submissions welcome!

We have between 250 and 300 vendors per auction. Their lots can vary from a single stamp to a van-load. All items are welcome, large or small. Our only condition is that the total is at least a few hundred Euros.

Delivering to our offices

During office hours and by appointment you can bring material you wish to offer for auction (stamps, postal pieces, postcards and FDC’s) with no obligation or charge. While you are there our assessor will look at the items and give you a reliable indication of what they will fetch.

Making an appointment

An appointment for a valuation is easily made. You will find the details in the column on the left-hand side.

House visits

If necessary, we will visit your home or other location. If your lots are sufficiently large, the visit of our valuator is free of charge. If his visit does not lead to material being included in the auction, you will pay the normal travel and valuation costs. These will be reimbursed if you do decide to make use of our services within six months.
